These classic tartlets have just the right amount of sweet blueberries and creamy cheese filling.
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 4 squares
Press each square into a tartlet pan, trimming any excess pastry
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until smooth
Divide the cream cheese mixture evenly among the tartlet shells
Arrange blueberries on top of the cream cheese mixture
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until pastry is golden and filling is set
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely
Dust with powdered sugar before serving
